Frequently Asked Questions

Hey there! We know you have a number of questions about DataFest Africa and what it’s all about. We’ve put together the most common questions you have, and short direct answers to help find your footing.

DataFest Africa is for anyone with an interest in data technology. Be it strategic and organizational, operational and practical, or simply a general interest.

DataFest Africa will be hybrid. Some sessions will be physical and others virtual.

These will be held on the following dates

Uganda (Pre-event)

  • Kampala, June 29th

Kenya (Main event)

  • Nairobi, July 12th-13th, 2023

Physical participation at both DataFest Africa 2023 pre event and main event is strictly by invitation. However, we will be opening up online virtual participation in June.

This year, we are not issuing a call for speakers for DataFest Africa. All speakers at this year’s DataFest Africa events are strictly by invitation.

Participation in the VizQuest contest is open to anyone to apply. The contest will be held at the Uganda pre-event on June 29th, 2023. Please look out on Pollicy’s page for updates on when the contest will be opened.
